Step 1: Enable API Library
- Navigate to "The Google Cloud Platform API Libary - Maps Category"
- If you only have one project in your organisation then the default project will be selected
- If you have multiple projects then please select the relevant project for this Google Map API key
- Select the relevant API Library
Tip: Your Great Minds implementation consultant will instruct you on the API Libraries required for your implementation - Select Enable
- Click on the back arrow button to go back to the categories if multiple API Libraries are required
Step 2: Create API Key
- Navigate to "Google Cloud Platform API credentials"
- Select "+ Create Credentials"
- Select "API Key"
- Copy the API Key that has been generated for you and provide this to your Great Minds implementation consultant

- Navigate to "Google Cloud Platform API credentials"
- Select the API Key
Tip: use the date or click on show key to make sure you are selecting the right key
Tip: There are two ways to restrict the API Key you have generated- Application Restrictions: An application restriction controls which websites, IP addresses, or applications can use your API key. You can set one application restriction per key.
- API Restrictions: API restrictions specify the enabled APIs that this key can call
- Restrict the API Key and click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.
